On Thursday, March 6th students had the opportunity to present their conceptual design for the new gathering space to the community group. Members of Neighbourhood Group 3 and the University of Calgary's Master of Architecture students gathered in Bea and Dix's living room for the presentation, before moving out to the site to discuss further.
The presentation offered the opportunity for the students to 'test' the idea with the community members and to get feedback on their design. Overall the response was highly positive, but some concerns in regards to sun during the winter, appropriate wind protection, height of the structure, and fire safety were also addressed.
